Description

Throughout the years, Kate has chosen to prioritize nutrition and home-cooked food for her family. She’s learned a lot along the way and is sharing it with you! You will love the quality, easy recipes and beautifully photographed foods. Rather than doing all the research and sorting through endless recipes online, you can finally enjoy a well-thought-out cookbook that has done all the work for you. All that’s left is to enjoy creating quick, wholesome meals for you and your family. To make it even more valuable, the book includes a list of pantry staples, simple meal ideas, and even a complete meal plan! These recipes are healthy, natural versions of common American foods – dishes you really would serve on a daily basis.

Here, you’ll find how to go from packaged/processed foods to mostly from-scratch foods, and how to make it easy. We know that families are busy and don’t have time to spend an hour-plus in the kitchen to prepare every meal. Plus, you want to enjoy life! There’s no point in dry salads and plain grilled meats with no spices and no treats! You’ll find some of her favorite healthy dessert and snack options in this book too.

Fabulous!!! Clean eating, simple, family favorites. Great pictures. Best of all, I’m using it as a basic meal plan for the next month. Seriously. It’s good.

We love this cookbook! It’s simple and easy to follow.

My family and I do really love the recipes in this cookbook. So far we have loved all of the recipes we have tried. I do feel there could be some improvements though. First of all, I really wish the book was spiral bound. I have so much trouble getting it to stay open when I am trying to cook and use a recipe. Also, some of the recipes feel like they are leaving out a little bit of detail and information. I have found myself guessing at what actually needs to be done. So far the recipes have all turned out ok but I always question if I am actually doing it right. I also really wish there was some sort of yield/servings included in the recipes. I never have any idea if it is going to be enough for my family. But all in all I am really enjoying these healthy real food recipes with ingredients I can easily find!

I’m a cookbook fanatic and have only had this cookbook for about 3 months…and it’s my favorite!!! I have tried over a dozen recipes already and they are all our new favorites! Several of them are so simple, like the seasoned potato wedges, but the spices are such a delicious twist that I have not tried before! The green bean casserole will be my new replacement for this Thanksgiving! Seriously, these recipes will not disappoint!

I was looking for a cookbook like this that had simple, real ingredient recipes that I could start adding to our food rotations…I often get in a rut of making the same thing over and over and this has given us some great options. I do wish the index was organized differently and alphabetized for easy searching. For example, maybe omit “part 1” “part 2” and just have those food categories instead and then list each recipe alphabetically. I also wish it included how many servings each recipe yielded. I like to double or triple a recipe for leftovers and freezing for later but I wasn’t sure how much each recipe would make.

I really like this cookbook! The recipes are easy to make and the ingredients are simple and easy to obtain….. if they aren’t already in the cabinet. I am on the older end of life, and don’t need to cook as much as I used to, but still want healthy, wholesome and yummy dishes for my husband and myself. So glad I ordered this, and I may be getting a few for gifts!

Love this cookbook for healthy recipes for the whole family! Pinterest is great, but I love having a physical cookbook on hand. Regardless, this is a great recipe collection for the whole family, even picky eaters, that doesn’t make it feel complicated to get dinner on the table.

  8. Sarah (verified owner)

I absolutely love this cookbook and wish I would have bought it sooner! The recipes are simple and quick to make, which is great for busy parents who want their families to enjoy real food without the hassle. I own several cookbooks, but this one is one of my top choices when I’m not sure what to make for dinner.

I wanted to love this cook book, and in some ways I do. I reach for it often, but one thing that really bothers me about it is none of the recipes tell me the “yield” which really bothers me since I am not experienced enough at cooking to just be able to look at ingredients and know how much it’ll make. I love the simplicity of the recipes and ingredients, the variety of recipes, and the images. The table of contents is difficult to read and sort through, though, so I took a pen and wrote on it so I could follow it better. With a few improvements, this could be amazing.

Wonderful cookbook!! Simple, tasty, and easy! Just what I was looking for to start providing better food options at home while juggling my 10 month old and 2 yr old.

Simple, tasty, and easy recipes that have been doable to make even while juggling my now 10 month old and 2 yr old! I wanted to start incorporating better food options at home for my whole family and this cookbook has been a winner 🙂 so far one of my favorites is chicken Parmesan.

Love this cookbook! Simple, real life recipes for a real life kitchen. I used several recipes, such as granola and tortillas, while pregnant to stock up for postpartum nourishment and ease.

I appreciate the simplicity of this cookbook. These are realistic recipes for me to make as an overwhelmed mother of four young children. These are very basic recipes that don’t require exotic ingredients. So far the only new ingredient to me has been date sugar. I appreciate that they don’t call for cream of chicken or mushroom, which is a frustration of mine when I search for recipes on the internet. We’ve tried about ten recipes so far. The whole grain muffins recipe has been a repeat favorite, and the cheeseburger pasta is my go-to meal-in-a-pinch. There are a couple of improvements that could be made on this book in future editions. Firstly, it would be incredibly helpful to have an alphabetized index in the back of the book like most cookbooks. I find it annoying to scan through the entire table of contents to find what I’m looking for or to flip through the book. Secondly, the directions could be written more clearly and with more detail. As someone who doesn’t have an enormous amount of background knowledge in cooking, I find myself having to google things that aren’t clearly explained. Because of the way the directions for the muffins are worded, I left out the milk the first couple of times I made the recipe and didn’t understand why the batter had the consistency of cement. Serving size would also be helpful information to include. For example, it would be nice to know that the muffin recipe makes approximately 18 muffins. Overall, Kate is on the right track with this book and it has been my go-to recipe book for the past couple of months.

This is the kind of cookbook I’ve been looking for!! It goes through the basic must haves in the kitchen, and is well organized for whatever type of meal you’re trying to cook up! I appreciate the emphasis on CLEAN, nontoxic foods.

I love some of the recipes in this book, but others I’ve wasted so much time and money on ingredients trying to get them to work. Anything that’s meant to become bread like hasn’t worked out. It feels as if there’s too much flour so the dough will never combine properly. I’ve even tried using my stand mixer. The yeast is good and water temp has been correct. Should have stuck with searching online, because I’ve never gotten anything wrong until this book.

  16. Serena (verified owner)

Absolutely loving this recipe book! I appreciate that the recipes are actually simple and quick to make. No hard to find ingredients, and most recipes are something even my toddler
Will eat. That’s a win! Very well rounded in types of meals, sides, etc. There are only one or two seafood recipes so just be aware of that if you’re a big fish eater.

Just got my cookbook and a quick thumb through I can’t wait to use this. Easy recipes, simple ingredients of everyday items. Perfect Thank You Kate!!!!
