Are you experiencing impaired wound healing, hair or bone loss, frequent illnesses, or infections? Maybe you’re feeling anxious, depressed, tired, or fatigued – if so, you may have a vitamin D deficiency.

Vitamin D Cream combines five ingredients to form a lotion rich in vitamins A and D (and some K2). Studies show that vitamin D is absorbed nearly eight times better topically than orally – making topical vitamin D a perfect, natural way to get the nourishment you need without the taste you don’t want.

  • Contrary to its name, vitamin D is not a vitamin; it’s a pre-hormone that helps regulate many of your body’s hormones. It’s often promoted as “for strong bones,” which is true, but vitamin D is so much more than that! Vitamin D is needed for muscle movement, balancing blood sugar, controlling inflammation, supporting the immune system, and even helping the body absorb calcium.

Unfortunately, vitamin D deficiencies are extremely common these days and stem from environmental toxicity and the lack of sun exposure. While many opt for vitamin D pills, we decided to go another route and created Vitamin D Cream.

Our natural Vitamin D Cream is a cod liver oil base containing vitamins A and D (and some K2). The fat-soluble vitamins are balanced so the body can use them easily and effectively. Many people shy away from the taste of cod liver oil and have difficulty taking it. This cream is a topical solution!

Q: Who can safely use Vitamin D Cream?

A: Vitamin D Cream is safe for anyone all ages and stages of life, including while pregnant and breastfeeding. The ingredients in Vitamin D Cream are even safe to use on dogs.

Q: Vitamin D Cream has much lower vitamin D than oral supplements; why?

A: We don’t normally recommend high-dose supplementation because the body can only absorb so much at once. Most conventional supplements are filled with mega-dosed synthetic formulas and are harder to absorb. Contrarily, studies have found topical vitamin D is absorbed best.

Q: Vitamin D Cream has more vitamin A than vitamin D; why is that?

A: The natural source used to make our Vitamin D Cream just so happens to be high in vitamin A as well.

Q: What does Vitamin D Cream smell like?

A: Some people find Vitamin D Cream has no smell, some find it smells strongly of fish, and others find it varies from batch to batch. If you find the smell of Vitamin D Cream unpleasant, you can melt it down and add essential oils to mask the smell. If you add essential oils, we recommend avoiding citrus essential oils to avoid phototoxicity.

Q: How should I apply Vitamin D Cream?

A: Vitamin D Cream can be applied anytime, even before sun exposure. Simply rub 1/2 – 1 teaspoon on the thighs, stomach, or other fat-rich body parts.

Q: How should store Vitamin D Cream?

A: We recommend storing Vitamin D Cream in a cool, dark place. Some people store it in the refrigerator, but it becomes a very firm consistency due to the cold temperature.

Q: I bought Vitamin D Cream, and there are little beads in it; is that normal?

A: Yes. The white beads are stearic acid, a naturally-occurring fatty acid found in several butters and oils. When we make products, we heat them to a certain temperature, blend them, then rapidly cool them. If it cools too slowly or melts in transit and slowly cools again, the stearic acid can form into small to medium white beads. To fix this, you can remelt the product, stir it, and then rapidly cool it in the fridge.

I absolutely love every single product I have purchased from this company. They have been absolutely amazing and make me feel so much better, especially the magnesium cream. That being said…this vitamin D cream is the only one that I do not like, at all. The smell makes me so sick to my stomach. I even read comments where people said to mix it with the magnesium cream. It’s still too strong and very incredibly fishy. I am prone to being sensitive to smells, so perhaps it may be just fine for others.

We’ve been using this for my daughter for about 4mo now and we love it. It’s an extra source of vitamin d for her and has a nice light scent (I’ve never noticed any fish scent more of a mango butter scent) and we love that it’s essential oil free! We rub it right into her tummy every night

  3. Rachel (verified owner)

I really like this cream. I use it myself, as well as on my children. We use it especially in the winter when we get little sunlight

  4. Abby V (verified owner)

With so much controversy about vitamin D supplements, I am thankful to have a natural, topical option. I used this on my daughter when she was a baby. The smell can be a little strong sometimes, but it doesn’t usually bother me!

  5. Annemarie Peters (verified owner)

I have extremely low Vit D. I had gotten it up with more sun & oral vits. When I found this I was excited to try it. I dropped the oral vit D and started this cream and it dropped way back down. So Ive had to go back to oral supplements.

  6. Debra Faircloth (verified owner)

This product is a game changer for me. I abhor taking pills and this has product has eliminated the need to take a Vitamin D pill everyday. Love how it goes on and absorbed through the skin. Waiting for my labs to come back to see the difference. Will let you know.

It works!! Truly. I have been severely vitamin D deficient for years. I have tried everything in the book, quality supplements, and nothing has gotten it to move. I started putting this on me and my toddler. Recently got my vitamin D retested and it went up by 15 marks. Still on the low side, but finally in the low side of average. Since it’s a natural made bioavailabile product, it’s not going to abnormally spike my numbers.. slowly but surely it’s helping! Oh and it helped regulate my period, so crazy!!!

And yes it’s smells, because it’s cod liver oil. It’s subtle. I just make sure to put it on when I’m wearing my pajamas, so it’s doesn’t get my good clothes oily and fishy smell.

10/10 would recommend this to anyone with low vitamin d. The smell is worth the benefits.

  8. Debra

This product was a game changer for me! I ordered it just to try since I’m usually deficient in vitamin d. After just a few days, I felt the improvement! Especially with my RLS symptoms. Since adding this and Good Night Lotion to my daily routine, I’ve cut RLS meds in half!

  9. Priscilla

Thankful for this product! I use this on both my babies(starting from when they were newborns) as a safe, non-hormone, natural way to get them some extra Vitamin D! We actually found out that it has better absorption though the skin rather than internally taking it as a supplement! The smell isn’t the worst and it’s definitely tolerable, given how great the ingredients are. It lasts a long time. Definitely recommend!

  10. Rosa (verified owner)

As part of my toddlers night time routine, she enjoyed the massage and I enjoyed the fact that she was absorbing vitamin d without me having to do drops or capsules or powders. It’s a very convenient and fun way to get that extra vitamin d in your child. It’s didn’t smell weird or leave stains which was nice.

  11. R. W.

I really didn’t mind the smell and it worked very well. The texture isn’t as good as the goodnight lotion, so I would recommend taking the Cod Liver Oil instead if you’re looking for something else. I did fall off the bandwagon of putting it on and after a little while, opened it and it was FISHY smelling. So much so that I just threw it away. It was quite mild at first, so I highly recommend keeping it in the fridge or somewhere cooler if you’re not using it quickly. Overall, it really is a great way to get some vitamin D in a way your body can absorb if you’re not able to access lots of sun

  12. Victoria Rushakoff (verified owner)

I got this because my bloodwork showed low Vit D levels. I got it redone a few weeks after using this cream each night and they were normal. I love that it goes right into my skin without leaving oil or cream on my shirt and does not smell badly.

  13. Crystal (verified owner)

This is a very easy cream to put on. The smell is not great, but I used it throughout my whole pregnancy with no problems. I tend to have low vitamin D so every little bit helps me out.

  14. Rebecca Tsang (verified owner)

We need some extra Vit D living in Seattle but it’s hard to get the kids to use this. They dislike the smell and graininess of the cream and it’s hard to smooth onto skin. I hope the consistency and smell can be improved!

Love this product , put it on every day rubs in good and I feel like I’m getting my vitamin D on those dark winter days
