How much vitamin C is in this product?
There is approximately 10.3 mg per 1/2 tsp, or approximately 2.75 mg per capsule.
Can I add the powder to a drink or food?
Yes! Feel free to mix it into a smoothie, juice, applesauce, yogurt, or your favorite food or drink. It will not dissolve.
Does this contain stevia? Why?
The powder form does contain whole leaf, green stevia for flavor. The capsule version does not. We do not use the processed white powder; our stevia is leaf that has been grown, dried, and ground with no further processing.
Q: Is there a limit to how much a person can take?
A: We suggest taking it daily for best support, but if you need extra support, you can take it to bowel tolerance.
Q: How do I know I’ve reached bowel tolerance?
A: You will have reached bowel tolerance when you begin to have runny stool.
Q: When should I take this or the Vita-C tincture?
A: You can take either product for supplementing vitamin C into your diet. You do not need to take both.
Q: Which product has higher vitamin C content? Vita-C or Immune Aid Vitamin C Powder?
A: This powder has a higher concentration of Vitamin C than the Vita-C tincture.
Q: Does this dissolve in liquid?
A: The powder does not dissolve in liquid, but it can be added to liquid to take orally.
Q: Can I add this to a smoothie?
A: Yes! Our powder form is great for adding to smoothies and other blended items.
Q: My bottle doesn’t look very full. Why is that?
A: We fill bottles by weight, not to a certain level in the bottle, so it may not appear full, but it is the specific amount listed on the bottle.
Q: Is the %RDA of Vitamin C for the powder and the capsules the same or does it vary?
A: The %RDA of Vitamin C is slightly less (approximately 1% lower) than the capsules because there is no stevia added to the capsules. Stevia does not detract from nutrients of the powder, but the capsules are slightly more concentrated because there is no stevia taking up room in the capsule.
