Shampoo bars come in solid bars that allow us to use less packaging and fluff. They are travel friendly, save space, use less water, and typically last longer! We take ours a step further by offering variations of this shampoo bar for different hair needs, AND staying away from the harmful additives in many other soaps like — parabens, sulfates, dyes, silicones, phthalates, and more.

Key Ingredients:

  • Rosemary — Encourages hair growth, tames oil on scalp (rosemary-lavender bar)
  • Lavender — Soothes sensitive skin (rosemary-lavender bar)
  • Castor Oil — Encourages hair growth, nourishes scalp, controls oil, provides lather (all bars)
  • Babassu Oil — Nourishes hair, helps control oil (oily bar)
  • Shea Butter — Rich in vitamin E, nourishes dry hair (dry/curly bar)

Our shampoo bars are formulated for and unique to different hair needs and they are safe for the whole family to use. Each variation gently cleanses your scalp and hair, not stripping it of its natural oils, promoting a happy environment for healthy hair to flourish. Clean, nourished, growing, and hydrated hair is as simple as a shampoo bar.

Rosemary-Lavender Shampoo Bar

Shampoo Bar (Oily)

Shampoo Bar (Curly/Dry Hair)

Our Rosemary-Lavender Shampoo Bar is the perfect solution for all-natural hair care. This eco-friendly, no-waste bar cleans your hair without harsh ingredients. It gently cleanse the hair and scalp without stripping it of all of natural oils that keep your hair healthy. This means that your scalp doesn’t end up dry and flaky and compensate by overproducing oil. Rosemary and lavender promote hair growth, while regulating oil production to keep your scalp healthy.

  • Supports hair growth
  • Supports blood circulation
  • Helps with dry and flaky scalp

Our Oily Shampoo Bar is formulated specifically for oily hair. Babassu, castor, rosehip, and avocado oil combine to create a beautiful soap that thoroughly cleanses hair without stripping it of important, natural oils. Traditional shampoos strip the hair of oil, which causes your scalp to over-compensate by becoming even more oily so you have to wash more often. Earthley’s Shampoo Bar is kind to your hair and your scalp, while being eco-friendly and low-waste.

Q: These don't seem to last very long. What can I do?

A: We suggest keeping our shampoo bars out of direct water in the shower. You can also cut the bars into 1/3 or 1/2 sizes and save the other halves for later. We suggest keeping our shampoo bars on our Wooden Soap Dish to prevent them from being used up too quickly.

Q: I am struggling with hair loss. Which bar should I use?

A: We would suggest using our Rosemary-Lavender Shampoo Bar if you are struggling with hair loss. Hair loss can also be an indicator or nutrient deficiency. We suggest taking our Nutritional Deficiencies Quiz to see what supplements you may need to support your body.

Q: Do you have conditioner bars as well?

A: We do not have conditioner bars, but we do offer a Leave-In Conditioner!

Q: I'm not sure which one to get. What do you suggest?

A: We suggest sticking with the intended purpose of the shampoo bars.

For curly hair or dry hair: Curly/Dry Shampoo Bar

For oily hair: Oily Shampoo Bar

For anything else: Rosemary-Lavender Shampoo Bar

Q: Can I use the oily shampoo bar daily?

A: All of our shampoo bars are safe for daily use, however, you may not need to wash as often with our bars. We also offer our Rosemary-Lavender Dry Shampoo to help prolong the time between washes!

Q: How long do the bars last? How many washes can I expect out of them?

A: This will vary. We suggest keeping our shampoo bars out of direct water in the shower. You can also cut the bars into 1/3 or 1/2 sizes and save the other halves for later. We suggest keeping our shampoo bars on our Wooden Soap Dish to prevent them from being used up too quickly.

Q: Why is my hair greasy?

A: Switching from conventional to natural shampoos can take some time to transition. Your hair will take time to adjust and you may experience some greasiness at first.

Q: Are these safe for color treated hair?

A: As far as we know, the shampoo bars are safe for color treated hair. If you notice a change in hair color, discontinue use.

II use your hair shampoo and conditioner to grow hair. It grows hair doesn’t regrow hair. Has maid my hair stronger and longer. It adds fullness hair also shines. Great lather right to the last little piece. Conditioner leaves hair soft and smooth. On my seconded order. Love it will not change. Thank you.

  2. Jessica (verified owner)

I no longer use anything else. This shampoo bar is the best! I have been using the Rosemary one for about a year now and it suds really nice, lasts a long time and I feel like my hair is softer from using it.

  3. Alex (verified owner)

I really really wanted to love this like I love their other products. I purchased the rosemary lavender and unfortunately it made my hair feel like straw after every use. I gave up using after 3 times. It made my hair feel worse than the cheapest shampoos. I don’t understand why it makes my hair feel so awful and straw-like based on the ingredients but it does.

  4. Courtney K

I honestly did not care for it for my hair, but I love it for my makeup brushes. The best cleaner I have ever used. The only thing that actually gets them all clean!

  5. Katelyn Castillo (verified owner)

I love all there lotions and tincture, I bought their shampoo bar a few tiems. I do have oily hair which the oil formula doesn’t work on my hair very well. It works well on my husband hair, but I got the dry one which is better on my hair. I don’t wash my hair often anyway but this does the job

  6. Tammy Long Stewart

There is a student I know who is on the swim team at college. I bought this for them and they loved how it worked. It helped their hair not to dry out.

  7. Melissa Mangas

I love this shampoo bar. It smells SO AMAZING, I want to stick it up my nose! haha! It holds up well (I use it with a bamboo soap holder) and lathers nicely. I always want to have these on hand.

  8. Ginger

I’ve used both the rosemary lavender and the curly hair formulas and they’re great! They clean my hair without drying out the hair.

  9. Mary (verified owner)

Best natural shampoo I have used. The rosemary lavender has a wonderful scent.

  10. Rosa Barboza (verified owner)

I have curly hair and was a bit skeptical on using the Shampoo Bar (Curly/Dry Hair) because it’s so hard to find good products that actually work for my curls. I am so shocked how good this shampoo bar works. I did a hair detox 1st then started using this bar. After a Month of use, after i shower using this shampoo, I don’t add conditioner to my hair, I untangle in the shower while I have the shampoo on then rinse, once out the shower I style my hair with the brush(don’t add additional products), I’m amazed how nice & hydrated my curls look. I will continue buying this shampoo bar & see what else I find on here that’s good for curly hair.

  11. Blair (verified owner)

Just started using this and it’s amazing. I was using another “natural” brand sold at some stores and a lot of my hair was falling out which I originally thought was just part of what happens after having lots of babies. Since I’ve used this shampoo bar almost immediately I noticed no more hair in the drain! It works amazing and has seriously improved my hair health and I have only been using it for a couple weeks! Love this product!

  12. Working on my Ph.T

Just one use and I am sold! The rosemary lavender shampoo bar is really nice. I picked it up a while ago, but I had first been trying to work through a giant bottle of shampoo from a formerly family-owned business (which unbeknownst to me, was purchased by a large corporation). When I started experiencing alarming side effects like hair loss and an angry scalp, I decided it wasn’t worth finishing and I moved right on to this bar. The herbal scent is so relaxing! Within one use, my scalp had calmed down and my hair feels the cleanest it’s felt in a long time. We do have hard water, so I was extra careful to flip my head upside down and start at the base of my scalp. It lathered beautifully, and with a little effort I was able to rinse it all out. My guess is that I’ll need to do an ACV rinse every so often to prevent buildup, but that’s par for the course with our water. I love how affordable it is, too!

  13. Mary Harper (verified owner)

I love Earthley tinctures but the shampoo bar was a big disappointment. I’m afraid the formula needs to be reworked. I tried it for the last two weeks and it looks like I haven’t washed my hair—I’m so desperate for a wash I’m about to resort to an old run of the mill shampoo just so I can look presentable for work. I tried using different amounts of the bar or different washing patterns or just focusing on the roots —nothing made a difference. My hair is typically good for about 3 with no grease but that was NOT the case with the bar, every three days that I went for a wash my hair got greasier. The bar smells good, my hair does not.

  14. jeffdane

I like this product, the rosemary lavender kind works well for my fine, thin hair, but I also have soft water.

  15. Cleo Fenton

Went to my stylist today for a haircut. Been awhile since i had been and she was saying how healthy and great my hair was looking. Been u sing this product now 6 months maybe. I can see new hair growth too. Thanks.

  16. Brianna Hanni

I have oily hair and have tried both the oily formulation and the rosemary lavender. I find the oily one is a bit too much for my hair to use full time, so I alternate the formulations.

I have hard water and I have found it absolutely necessary to use an apple cider vinegar rinse with these. If I don’t do a vinegar rinse my hair is sticky, difficult to brush, and looks greasy. I’ve also found that the trick for me is to shampoo twice and really build up a thick lather with it in order for it to get through my hard water.

  17. jessica.haewon (verified owner)

First the pros: a little goes a long way with the rosemary-lavender shampoo bar. And while my scalp doesn’t get as itchy like it used to , the greasy- almost waxy- residue from the shampoo leaves much to be desired.

Major con: I’ve used this bar consistently a total of 6 times over a period of nearly a month (I shampoo my hair once every 4-5 days) , and the build up only seems to be getting worse. It is so bad that the waxy residue can be felt on my fingers after running my hands through my hair and can be peeled off of my hairbrushes! I wonder if this bar has been formulated in an area that has soft water. We have slightly hard water and natural shampoos tend to leave a slight residue in my hair but nowhere near what this bar leaves behind!

  18. As For Me and My Homestead (verified owner)

I’ve struggled with an itchy scalp for as long as I can remember. Once I started using the shampoo bar, the itching went away! Plus it smells fabulous!

  19. C W

I may not have tried it for long enough but it made my hair really greasy.

  20. Paola Basso (verified owner)

I have tried a lot of bar shampoos and this is the one I decided to continue to use. I like how clean it leaves my hair feeling as well as the incredible scent of Rosemary Lavender. Just be careful not to get it in your eyes it stings.
