Q: I am struggling with hair loss. Which bar should I use?

Q: Can I use the oily shampoo bar daily?
A: All of our shampoo bars are safe for daily use, however, you may not need to wash as often with our bars. We also offer our Rosemary-Lavender Dry Shampoo to help prolong the time between washes!
Q: How long do the bars last? How many washes can I expect out of them?
A: This will vary. We suggest keeping our shampoo bars out of direct water in the shower. You can also cut the bars into 1/3 or 1/2 sizes and save the other halves for later. We suggest keeping our shampoo bars on our Wooden Soap Dish to prevent them from being used up too quickly.
Q: Why is my hair greasy?
A: Switching from conventional to natural shampoos can take some time to transition. Your hair will take time to adjust and you may experience some greasiness at first.
Q: Are these safe for color treated hair?
A: As far as we know, the shampoo bars are safe for color treated hair. If you notice a change in hair color, discontinue use.

I desperately wanted to love the shampoo bars, but after spending a few months trying both kinds, I just had to stop, as my hair was feeling much too squeaky clean during washing, and after drying it would be so sticky it was almost impossible to brush out. I tried using the conditioner, and it seemed to help only slightly. Also both bars left an odd sticky substance on my brushes and combs. I had already been using an all natural shampoo and conditioner combo for years prior to trying these products, as I wanted to support this business and I love so many of their other products.

This is my go-to shampoo bar. I used baking soda for several years to clean my hair, but it was too abrasive. I’m so glad I found Earthley’s shampoo bar! It lathers very nicely, and it makes my hair feel incredibly clean. It smells awesome, and I am especially picky about scents. The smell is very mild once it’s been rinsed, so I wouldn’t think it would be a problem even if someone didn’t find the smell as pleasant as I do. I strongly recommend Earthley’s shampoo bar. I love it!

I really wanted to like this shampoo! I have been looking for a natural shampoo that doesn’t leave my hair super greasy; I tried on two 2+ week occasions to get through the detox period but it got to the point where I literally couldn’t run my fingers through my hair or brush it. It also looked incredibly greasy even at he end of the detox period. It definitely could have been user error but I think I followed the directions correctly and just didn’t have success.
Eve though this bar is not for me, I still trust the ingredients in it so that’s still a win 🙂

I like this shampoo bar a lot. I switched to it from the store bought liquid shampoo so it did take several weeks to adjust. I had so much build up in my hair from the liquid shampoo so I first washed with baking soda and then used the shampoo bar, then rinsed with apple cider vinegar for the first few washes. There is an adjustment period but once all the previous build up is removed, the shampoo bar is so great to use. I have a very sensitive Scalp and it’s really hard to find a shampoo that works for me.

I bought the Curly/Dry Natural Shampoo Bar. I love it!! I’m prone to eczema and a dry, itchy scalp. This bar takes care of all that! My scalp no longer itches and my hair seems thicker! I’m 70 and I don’t want thinning gray hair!! I think this is the answer!
Note: I can only use it every other shampoo because it is so rich!!! I’m going to try the Rosemary next!!

First time trying a shampoo bar. I was nervous bc I have a lot of hair & it’s thick. I got the Rosemary Lavender since I’ve been dealing with postpartum hair loss. My hair isn’t falling out as much as before so I think it’s helping. However, my hair is still greasy after a few days. Oh, I absolutely love the smell of it!!

I love the rosemary lavender shampoo bar! It along with the leave in conditioner have been wonderful for my hair. I did find that I get the best lather from wetting my hair and the bar and rubbing the bar directly onto my hair, rather than trying to lather my hands and wash my hair that way. Putting the soap bar in a soap container helps it last longer too.

This was the first shampoo bar I ever tried and I thought it was a pretty good product! The smell was nice and handling the washing process with the bar was much more pleasant than I thought! My one complaint is there were times when I would wash, that my hair still felt greasy/ that the soap bar deposited too much oil upon drying and I had to re-wash in the sink or hop back in the shower.

I tried the rosemary shampoo bar as a recommendation for postpartum hair loss. I have only used about 3 times. It lathers up really well. I do feel like by the end of the day my hair looks greasy. I’m sure it’s just detoxing so I will have to stick with it. The only thing with the essential oils is I have gotten it in my eyes twice (just when rinsing) and it really burns!

I have the shampoo bar for oily hair. I love the effectiveness of it! It leaves my hair just right after washing. It has a really nice lather and has lasted longer than I anticipated. The smell is earthy and herby (is that a word? Haha). The only thing I will caution you on is not to get it in your eyes! It stings for a bit. Ask me how I know.

I love the rosemary shampoo bar! I’ve been using it for about a month with the leave in conditioner. I wet my hair, rub the actual bar onto my hair and wash my hair as normal. It lathers well and smells wonderful! After I rinse my hair I agree with another reviewer that my hair feels “squeaky clean” and dry but I can still run my fingers through it. I then brush my hair, let it dry a bit in a microfiber towel, and then spray the leave in conditioner and brush my hair again. I haven’t experienced any residue, my hair feels so healthy and soft and clean. I love it and I’m hooked!

I have been using this shampoo for about 6 weeks now. At first, I was unsure of how I felt, as my hair felt almost sticky. I noticed a waxy substance on my brush and actually replaced my brush a couple times.. after a few uses, my hair no longer felt sticky, nor was the waxy substance coming off as I brushed through it. I realized that my hair was likely just being detoxed of the nastiness that was left from my old shampoo. With Earthley, I now only have to wash my hair once a week. I have tried several of these shampoo bars. The lavender rosemary helped my hair grow thicker and not break off nearly as much as it used to, but this shampoo bar left my hair SUPER sticky. The shampoo bar for oily hair always left my hair super dry, so my hair would be very oily again the next day. But then Earthley came out with the shampoo bar for curly hair!!!! It is the first shampoo I have used in 4 years of using natural hair products that does not leave my hair too dry or too sticky! (The bar itself does get goopy if it gets too wet though.) I am very pleased that Earthley has created clean hair products without fragrance.
