Bone Broth Hot Chocolate

Missing Alt Text

The health benefits of bone broth are astounding, and it is surprisingly simple and affordable to make your own. We want to share our favorite way to get that nutrient-dense bone broth (and also the easiest way to get children to eat it)—hot chocolate!

Who doesn’t love hot chocolate? If you were to look at your local grocery store, you would find tons of hot chocolate mixes and packets full of sugar, food dyes, and plenty of other ingredients you would rather avoid. Wouldn’t you love serving your family an even more delicious treat loaded with nutrition? This bone broth hot chocolate recipe delivers big-time flavor and nutrition. Your kids will even ask for another cup because it is so good!

The key ingredient in hot chocolate is the chocolate. We make this hot chocolate with Earthley’s Cocoa Calm to give it a more considerable nutritional boost.

Cocoa Calm is made with non-alkalized cocoa powder, which results in a cocoa powder with up to 3x the amount of antioxidants. Check out this study about how the alkalization process negatively affects cocoa.

Cocoa Calm contains 3 adaptogenic herbs - (ashwagandha root, schisandra berry, and eleuthero root).

It is delicious – and kids will agree!

You want to start with a bland chicken bone broth, so forgo the spices when you make it. You can also use a powder version of bone broth if you prefer.
