DIY: Essential Oil Roller Recipes

Essential oil blends can be helpful. They are great for keeping in your purse, first aid kits, on your nightstand, your desk, or anywhere you want a nice scent refresher or a double-duty helper!

DIY: Essential Oil Roller Recipes
To make them, fill the roller most of the way with carrier oil, then drop in the essential oils. Top off if needed, then push the roller into place, shake, and put the cap on. It's ready to go! These come together really quickly and are very handy to keep around. These recipes are for 10 mL bottles like these. Below at the end of the blog is a video of how to remove the top.
Create an EO Roller of any of our blends by adding 8ml of Jojoba or other carrier oil with 15 drops of any of the following EO blends:

Calm EO Roller
This is an anti-anxiety blend that helps to induce calm, relaxed feelings and improve mood. Rub a small amount across my inner wrists to smell it when I want to.
- 8 mL carrier oil (apricot or jojoba oil are great)
- 8 drops of orange essential oil
- 8 drops of lavender essential oil
- 8 drops of Neroli essential oil
Earthley's Calming EO Roller is comparable if you don't have the EOs on hand.
Upset Tummy EO Roller
This blend is for children or adults, depending on how you do it. It will help reduce nausea and sour stomachs. It can be rubbed on wrists, temples, or across the tummy -- whatever feels right to you.
- 8 mL carrier oil
- 10 drops of Earthley's Tummy Soothe Essential Oil Blend
- 6 drops of peppermint essential oil*
- 6 drops spearmint essential oil*
*Better to leave these out if this is for children.
Sore Muscles EO Roller
This is for adults if you have any sort of sore muscles. If you've exercised too much, twisted something, etc. (You may obviously require more care than just this if you have an injury, but for minor soreness, this is fine -- and it can help with other stuff, too.) This one should not be used for children.
- 8 mL carrier oil
- 5 drops each of:
- Wintergreen
- Camphor
- Scots Pine
or Plant Therapy's Muscle-Aid Essential Oil Blend
Breathe EO Roller
This one is best not used for children under 10. It helps clear breathing when you have a cold or other sinus issue. Rub on feet for best effects, or simply breathe it in (wave roller under your nose).
- 8 mL carrier oil
- 8 drops peppermint essential oil
- 8 drops rosemary essential oil
Anti-Germ EO Roller
This one is safe for kids. Use this as a general ward-off-the-yuckies when traveling or in a hand sanitizer spray.
- 8 mL carrier oil
- 3 drops each of:
- Black Spruce
- Lemon
- Sweet Marjoram
- Rosalina
- Lavender
or Plant Therapy's Germ Destroyer Essential Oil Blend
Immune Support EO Roller
This one is best used for older children or adults. It's a general immune supporter.
- 8 mL carrier oil
- 15 drops of Earthley's Immune Support Essential Oil Blend
Energy EO Roller
Sometimes, your energy's just a bit low, right? Busy morning, no coffee... This can help boost you up more naturally. This one is also for adults.
- 8 mL carrier oil
- 2 drops each of:
- blood orange EO
- peppermint
- lemon
- ginger root extract
- eucalyptus globulus
- eucaplyptus Egyptian
or 15 drops of Plant Therapy's Energy Essential Oil Blend or Earthley's Morning Burst EO Blend
